The Exposition of the Dvādaśī Vow for the Twelve Months

Dvādaśī-vrata-nirṇaya and Mahā-dvādaśī Lakṣaṇas

प्रीयतां कामरूपी मे हरिरित्येवमुच्चरन् । यः कुर्याद्विधिनाऽनेन मदनद्वादशीव्रतम् ॥ ९ ॥

prīyatāṃ kāmarūpī me harirityevamuccaran | yaḥ kuryādvidhinā'nena madanadvādaśīvratam || 9 ||

En prononçant : «Que Hari, prenant la forme de Kāma, soit satisfait de moi», quiconque accomplit selon la règle prescrite (vidhi) ce vœu de Madana-Dvādaśī obtient le fruit sacré recherché.
