Ô brāhmane, lorsque cette observance de Daśamī est accomplie constamment selon le rite prescrit, elle accorde richesse, victoire, fils, vaches, éléphants et chevaux, ainsi que chèvres et moutons.
Narada
Vrata: Daśamī-vrata (Daśamī observance)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It functions as a phala-śruti, affirming that disciplined, rule-based observance (vidhi) of the Daśamī-vrata yields tangible fruits—prosperity, success, and household stability—thereby encouraging steady dharmic practice.
While the verse lists worldly results, it reinforces bhakti-oriented vrata culture: regular, faithful observance “in the prescribed manner” trains devotion through consistency, purity, and reverence for scriptural injunctions.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied through vidhinā—performing the vow according to proper injunctions; it also assumes basic Jyotiṣa timing knowledge since Daśamī is a tithi-based observance.
