Puis, à l’aube, on doit nourrir d’éminents brāhmaṇas de mets sucrés ; et, après leur avoir donné la dakṣiṇā prescrite, on doit les congédier avec respect, l’esprit comblé.
Sage Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a religious observance is completed by honoring learned brāhmaṇas through feeding and dakṣiṇā, done with inner contentment rather than mere formality.
It frames devotion as reverence expressed through service—offering food and gifts in a spirit of gratitude—so that worship culminates in humility and satisfaction of heart.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure): the morning timing, offering of naivedya-like food, dakṣiṇā to officiants, and the proper respectful dismissal (visarjana/udvāsana) after rites.
