Ô brāhmane, celui qui Le vénère selon le rite prescrit—en jeûnant et en maîtrisant ses sens—obtient la voie du ciel par la grâce d’Indra, souverain des dieux.
Narada (instructional narration within the Purva Bhaga’s summary/ritual-phala style passages)
Vrata: none (contextual Saptamī/solar-related rite implied)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links correct ritual performance (vidhāna), austerity (upavāsa), and self-mastery (jitendriya) with a defined karmic result—svarga—emphasizing that merit matures through divine favor (prasāda), here attributed to Indra.
While framed as ritual-phala, it highlights bhakti expressed as disciplined worship: honoring the deity properly, accepting fasting, and restraining the senses—devotional acts that invite prasāda (grace).
Kalpa/ritual procedure is implied through “vidhānena” (doing worship by injunction), along with vrata-discipline (upavāsa) as a practical rule of observance in Purāṇic practice.
