Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 10

The exposition of the Pañcamī vow to be observed in the twelve months

लोकपालान्समभ्यर्च्य कुर्याद्वायुपरीक्षणम् । प्रथमादिषु यामेषु यो यो वायुः प्रवर्तते ॥ १० ॥

lokapālānsamabhyarcya kuryādvāyuparīkṣaṇam | prathamādiṣu yāmeṣu yo yo vāyuḥ pravartate || 10 ||

Après avoir honoré comme il se doit les Gardiens des Mondes (Lokapālas), qu’on procède à l’examen des souffles vitaux (vāyu). Au premier yāma et aux suivants, qu’on observe quel vāyu se met en action.
