Qu’on adore Keśava avec Lakṣmī en honorant un brāhmane avec son épouse, en offrant des mets, le don d’une vache laitière, des vêtements et aussi des parures.
Narada (teaching within the Narada Purana’s instructional dialogue, traditionally framed around Narada’s transmission to the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
The verse teaches that devotion to Keśava is expressed not only through image-worship but also through dharmic honoring of a worthy brāhmaṇa household, making charity (dāna) an extension of Viṣṇu–Lakṣmī worship.
Bhakti here is practical and relational: worship of Keśava-with-Lakṣmī is fulfilled by service, hospitality, and gifts—acts that cultivate humility, gratitude, and generosity as devotional disciplines.
It reflects kalpa/ritual-practice principles: the method of arcana (honoring worship-worthy persons) and prescribed dānas such as anna-dāna, go-dāna (surabhī-dāna), and vastra-dāna as components of a correct Vaiṣṇava ritual observance.
