FAQs

It functions as an index-verse, pointing to sections where Surya’s glory is praised as pāpa-nāśana (sin-destroying) and where Gaṇeśa’s sacred deeds are narrated—guiding readers toward devotional recitation and worship-oriented teachings.

By highlighting mahimā (glory) and carita (sacred deeds), it emphasizes a classic bhakti method: remembering and hearing the divine qualities and narratives of deities like Surya and Gaṇeśa as a purifying practice.

Indirectly, it supports ritual orientation: Surya-upāsanā is commonly linked with calendrical timing and observances (Jyotiṣa/Vedic astrology for auspicious days), while Gaṇeśa-carita supports prayoga (ritual application) through remembrance before rites.
