FAQs

It functions as an anukramaṇikā-style directive: naming specific tīrthas and ritual acts (yātrā and pradakṣiṇā) whose performance is considered dharma-enhancing and merit-producing within Purāṇic practice.

Bhakti here is expressed through embodied devotion—pilgrimage, visiting sacred Śiva-linked sites like Mahākāleśa, and reverential circumambulation—acts that cultivate remembrance, humility, and sustained worship through disciplined observance.

The verse implies calendrical discipline: choosing auspicious timing by weekday (Friday/Śukravāra) and lunar day (pañcamī tithi), aligning ritual performance with traditional jyotiṣa-based scheduling.
