Suta (narrator) / Anukramanika-style narrator voice
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the Brahma-khaṇḍa as “pāpa-vināśana” (sin-destroying) through śravaṇa (hearing/recitation) and signals a textual transition to the next teaching unit: Nārada’s dialogue with Sāvarṇi.
Indirectly, it supports bhakti’s core practice of śravaṇa—devotional hearing of sacred narration—by stating that listening to the Purāṇic section itself purifies and prepares the listener for the ensuing instructive dialogue.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; it functions as an anukramaṇikā marker emphasizing śruti/śravaṇa (hearing) as a practical method for purification and study-sequencing.
