भीमसेनस्य नादेन व्यमुठ्जन्त गुहा भयात् वनमें घूमते हुए भीमसेनका बलाभिमान दीर्घकालसे बहुत बढ़ा हुआ था। उस समय उनकी सिंह-गर्जनासे महान् बलशाली गजराज और मृगराज भी भयसे अपना स्थान छोड़कर भाग गये

Vaiśampāyana dit : Au rugissement tonnant de Bhīmasena, les cavernes furent désertées de peur. Depuis longtemps, tandis qu’il errait dans la forêt, l’orgueil de Bhīma en sa propre force n’avait cessé d’enfler ; et, en cet instant, même les puissants éléphants seigneurs et le roi des bêtes—le lion—quittèrent leur place en fuyant, ébranlés par son cri pareil à celui d’un lion.
