देवा देवर्षयश्लैव स्तुता राजर्षयस्तथा । पुष्टिमायुर्यश: स्वर्ग विधास्यन्ति ममेश्वरा:
devā devarṣayaś caiva stutā rājarṣayas tathā | puṣṭim āyur yaśaḥ svargaṁ vidhāsyanti mameśvarāḥ ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Lorsque l’on loue les dieux, les sages divins et les sages-rois, eux—puissances souveraines—m’accorderont nourriture et bien-être, longue vie, renommée et l’accès au ciel.»
