Suta Goswami
It sets practical purity timelines (dravya-śuddhi) so that offerings and ritual materials become fit for Śiva-pūjā, supporting disciplined approach to Linga worship.
Indirectly, it presents Śiva as Pati—the supreme recipient of worship—whose pūjā is approached through ordered dharma, where outer purification supports inner orientation toward liberation of the paśu from pāśa.
Ritual discipline of dravya-śuddhi (purification eligibility over time), a preparatory observance that complements Pāśupata-oriented sādhana by cultivating steadiness, restraint, and readiness for worship.
