उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः
असमक्षं समक्षं वा गुरोः कार्यं समाचरेत् गुरोर्हितं प्रियं कुर्यान् मनोवाक्कायकर्मभिः
asamakṣaṃ samakṣaṃ vā guroḥ kāryaṃ samācaret gurorhitaṃ priyaṃ kuryān manovākkāyakarmabhiḥ
Que le Guru soit absent ou présent, on doit accomplir avec ardeur l’œuvre du Guru. Par la pensée, la parole et l’acte du corps, qu’on fasse ce qui est utile et agréable au Guru—ainsi le paśu (l’âme liée) se purifie par le service discipliné vers le Pati (Śiva), par l’entremise du Guru.
