व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)
पृथिवीं भाजनं कृत्वा भुक्त्वा पर्वसु मानवः अहोरात्रेण चैकेन त्रिरात्रफलमश्नुते
pṛthivīṃ bhājanaṃ kṛtvā bhuktvā parvasu mānavaḥ ahorātreṇa caikena trirātraphalamaśnute
Aux jours sacrés de parva, si l’homme fait de la terre son propre récipient et mange avec humilité et retenue, alors, par une seule discipline d’un jour et d’une nuit, il obtient un mérite égal à celui d’un vœu de trois nuits. Une telle maîtrise affaiblit le pāśa (l’entrave) et tourne le paśu (l’âme incarnée) vers Pati, le Seigneur Śiva.
