व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)

अग्निकार्यमधःशय्यां नक्तभोजी समाचरेत् प्रतिमासं प्रवक्ष्यामि शिवव्रतमनुत्तमम्

agnikāryamadhaḥśayyāṃ naktabhojī samācaret pratimāsaṃ pravakṣyāmi śivavratamanuttamam

Qu’il accomplisse le devoir sacré du feu, qu’il dorme sur une couche basse et qu’il ne mange que la nuit. À présent, j’exposerai, mois après mois, le vœu incomparable de Śiva : par lui, le paśu (l’âme liée) est purifié du pāśa (lien) et devient digne de la grâce du Pati (le Seigneur).
