Adhyaya 8: Yogasthanas, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama-Siddhi, and Shiva-Dhyana leading to Samadhi

नाचरेद्देहबाधायां दौर्मनस्यादिसम्भवे सुगुप्ते तु शुभे रम्ये गुहायां पर्वतस्य तु

nācareddehabādhāyāṃ daurmanasyādisambhave sugupte tu śubhe ramye guhāyāṃ parvatasya tu

Qu’on n’entreprenne ni austérité ni pratique spirituelle en un lieu qui blesse le corps ou fasse naître l’abattement et d’autres troubles. Qu’on pratique plutôt dans une grotte de montagne bien dissimulée, auspicious et charmante—apte à la contemplation stable de Pati (Śiva) et à relâcher les liens (pāśa) qui entravent le paśu (l’âme).
