Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya, within a Shiva-nama enumeration context)
It presents Shiva as the boon-giver who responds to intense tapas and puja—especially putrārtha (seeking progeny)—showing that Linga-centered worship, joined with discipline, draws the Lord’s grace.
Shiva is implied as Pati—Hara, the remover of bonds—who manifests auspicious epithets and gracious beauty when approached with devotion, indicating His compassionate accessibility despite transcendent supremacy.
Vāyubhakṣa austerity—subsisting on prāṇa (air) as a form of severe tapas—paired with focused Shiva-pūjā for a specific saṅkalpa (putra-prāpti).
