पाने तु शब्दादीनामिन्द्रियार्थानामुपभोगः प्रीतिदानं परिजनपूजनं कर्मश्रमवधश्च इति ॥ कZ_०८.३.५७ ॥

Transliteration

pāne tu śabdādīnām indriyārthānām upabhogaḥ prītidānaṃ parijanapūjanaṃ karmaśramavadhaś ca iti

Translation

Dans la boisson, il y a : la jouissance des objets des sens, à commencer par le son ; le don de présents uniquement pour plaire ; l’honneur/le festin offert à son entourage ; et le gaspillage d’efforts ainsi que la destruction du travail productif—tels en sont (les effets).
