Related Themes: Agni Purana 92 (śuddhi/prāyaścitta and pūjā-vidhi context); Agni Purana sections on pañcagavya/śauca (related ritual chapters)
It prescribes a general protective-and-cleansing protocol: covering with a protective sheath (tanutra) and purification using clay, cow-dung mixtures, cow-urine decoctions, and scented water.
It blends practical hygiene/medicine (use of kaṣāya, gomūtra, mṛd) with ritual protection (avaguṇṭhana, tanutra), showing how the text catalogs applied procedures alongside religious observance.
The materials named are traditional śuddhi (purificatory) agents; their use signifies removal of impurity and establishment of protective sanctity, supporting auspiciousness and ritual fitness.
