Pavitrārohaṇa: Installing the Sanctifying Thread/Garland

It prescribes a daily Vāstu-oriented entry rite: worship the gate-guardians, then in the western side of the doorway worship the Vāstu-deity, perform bhūta-śuddhi (elemental purification), and conclude with a viśeṣa-arghya offering.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical coverage of applied sacred sciences—here, Vāstu-vidyā and ritual engineering—detailing spatial placement (doorway’s western side), protective deity worship (dvārpālas), and tantric-style purification (bhūta-śuddhi) as a complete procedural unit.
By honoring protective deities, harmonizing the site through Vāstu worship, and purifying the elements via bhūta-śuddhi, the practitioner removes subtle impediments and establishes śubha/śiva (auspiciousness), supporting purity, protection, and merit in daily dwelling or temple practice.
