Related Themes: Agni Purana 78 (nyāsa and parivāra offerings around dvāra and yajña setup)
It prescribes the kramāt (fixed sequence) for invoking/propitiating Śiva’s associated deities and attendants—used in Shaiva pūjā as a mantra/offerings order (devatā-krama) during upacāras or nyāsa-like assignments.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical ritual cataloging: not only theology, but also step-by-step liturgical sequencing—naming specific subsidiary deities (parivāra-devatā) essential for complete temple/home worship protocols.
Following the prescribed order is held to make worship complete and unobstructed (avighna), honoring Śiva together with his retinue and Śakti; such orderly propitiation is traditionally associated with purity of rite and accruing puṇya from correct observance.
