Chapter 68 — यात्रोत्सवविधिकथनं

Account of the Procedure for the Processional Festival / Yātrā-Utsava Vidhi

आपो हिष्ठोपनिषदैः पूजयेदर्घ्यमुख्यकैः पुनर्देवं समादाय तोये कृत्वाघमर्षणं

āpo hiṣṭhopaniṣadaiḥ pūjayedarghyamukhyakaiḥ punardevaṃ samādāya toye kṛtvāghamarṣaṇaṃ

Avec la formule védique de l’eau commençant par « Āpo hi ṣṭhā… », on doit vénérer la Divinité en offrant l’arghya et les autres oblations d’eau principales ; puis, reprenant la Divinité (dans l’attention ou en main), on accomplit dans l’eau le rite d’Aghamarṣaṇa pour l’effacement des fautes.
