«Aun la mujer estéril, si realiza tan solo el baño allí, oh brāhmaṇa, se volverá madre de hijos varones, colmada de dicha y buena fortuna.»
Arbuda-nāga (continuing boon description)
Tirtha: Nāga-tīrtha
Type: kund
Listener: Śaunaka et al. (implied)
Scene: Women pilgrims approach the spring with modest vessels; the water is shown as sanctified and luminous. A barren woman bathes, and symbolic signs of fertility (cradle, mango leaves, auspicious marks) appear subtly in the composition.
Purāṇic tīrthas are portrayed as compassionate remedies—granting wellbeing and continuity of family life when approached with faith.
Nāga-tīrtha, where even simple bathing is said to confer fertility and prosperity.
Snāna-mātra—‘only bathing’ at the tīrtha—promised to yield putra-vatī-bhāva (offspring) and saubhāgya.
