न चावाप्ता तु सा कन्या महादेवाङ्गसंभवा । सहोमया ततो देवो जहासोच्चैः पुनःपुनः
na cāvāptā tu sā kanyā mahādevāṅgasaṃbhavā | sahomayā tato devo jahāsoccaiḥ punaḥpunaḥ
Pero aquella doncella—nacida del propio cuerpo de Mahādeva—no había sido aún obtenida por quien le estaba destinado. Entonces el Señor, junto con Umā, rió en voz alta una y otra vez.
