प्र सोम मधुमत्तमो राये अर्ष पवित्र आ । मदो यो देववीतमः ॥

prá soma mádhumattamo rāyé arṣa pavítra ā́ | mádo yó devavī́tamaḥ ||

Avanza, oh Soma, el más rico en deleite meloso; por Rayi fluye al filtro. Pues ésta es la embriaguez más capaz de traer a nosotros los poderes de los dioses.
