अन्यथा पतितं विद्यात्कर्त्तापि ब्रह्महा भवेत् । र्मौजी विप्रस्य विज्ञेया धनुर्ज्या क्षत्त्रियस्य तु ॥ १६ ॥
anyathā patitaṃ vidyātkarttāpi brahmahā bhavet | rmaujī viprasya vijñeyā dhanurjyā kṣattriyasya tu || 16 ||
Si se hace de otro modo, contrario a la norma, debe saberse que ello provoca caída del dharma; y quien lo realiza incurre en culpa como la de un asesino de un brāhmaṇa. La faja maujī, hecha de hierba muñja, corresponde al brāhmaṇa; en cambio, la cuerda del arco es el emblema propio del kṣatriya.
