Narada (teaching in a jyotiṣa/vedāṅga-oriented passage within Moksha-dharma)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links technical jyotiṣa indicators (afflictions to Venus, lagna, and the eighth) with the theme of life’s final moment—suggesting that one’s end and the quality of final remembrance are influenced by karmic/planetary conditions, encouraging preparedness through dharma and inner discipline.
While the verse is technical (jyotiṣa), its implication supports bhakti practice: since the “end-time remembrance” is crucial, devotees are urged to cultivate constant remembrance of the Divine so that final recollection is steady regardless of adverse indications.
Jyotiṣa (a Vedāṅga): interpretation of Venus (Śukra) when weakened and placed in the twelfth, the role of malefics in lagna and the eighth, and the importance of kendras (angular houses) in judging critical life outcomes.
