Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It signals that the text covers both cosmic themes (creation through Brahmā) and liberative sacred geography (the mahatmya of Kāśī and Narmadā), presenting mythology and tīrtha-glory as complementary paths to dharma and purification.
By pointing to Kāśī and Narmadā mahatmyas, it implies bhakti expressed through tīrtha-yātrā, śraddhā, and remembrance of divine līlās (such as Andhaka’s slaying), which purify the mind and orient the devotee toward the Lord.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; it functions as an index line, indicating upcoming sections on cosmology and tīrtha-mahātmyas relevant to ritual practice and pilgrimage observances.
