Brahmā dijo: Escucha, hijo querido; te expondré el Varāha Purāṇa, compuesto de dos partes y que siempre señala la grandeza de Viṣṇu.
Brahma
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the Varāha Purāṇa as a scripture whose central purport is Viṣṇu’s māhātmya (divine greatness), guiding the listener toward devotion and reverence for Viṣṇu.
By declaring that the Varāha Purāṇa continually points to Viṣṇu’s greatness, it signals that hearing and reflecting on such narratives is itself a bhakti practice (śravaṇa) that nurtures devotion.
No specific Vedāṅga is taught in this verse; rather, it provides a textual roadmap (anukramaṇikā-style) by identifying the Purāṇa’s structure (two parts) and its theological focus (Viṣṇu-māhātmya).
