Adhyaya 43 — Portents of Death (Ariṣṭa-lakṣaṇas) and the Yogin’s Response; Alarka Renounces Kingship
शशाङ्करश्मिसंयोगाच्छन्द्रकान्तमणिः पयः ।
समुत्सृजति नायुक्तः सोपमा योगिनः स्मृता ॥
śaśāṅkaraśmisaṃyogāc chandrakāntamaṇiḥ payaḥ | samutsṛjati nāyuktaḥ sopamā yoginaḥ smṛtā ||
Al entrar en contacto con los rayos de la luna, la piedra lunar (candrā-kānta) exuda un líquido; pero no lo hace cuando no está en la conjunción adecuada. Esto se recuerda como un símil para el yogui.

Powers and higher states arise from right alignment—proper causes, proper practice, and proper conditions. Without disciplined conjunction (yukti), nothing manifests.
