Pulastya’s Tīrtha Enumeration: Sarasvatī, Naimiṣa, Gayā, and Associated Phalaśruti
Chapter 82
The verse teaches the exceptional sanctity of Puṣkara by portraying it as a place of constant divine presence; therefore, dharmic conduct—pilgrimage, worship, self-restraint, and truthful living—performed there is understood to yield amplified spiritual merit.
A speaker (here attributed as Ghūlastya) describes Puṣkara as a supremely holy tīrtha where multiple classes of gods and celestial beings are perpetually assembled, thereby praising the site and encouraging reverent pilgrimage.
