भुक्तवत्सु द्विजेन्द्रेष यथावत्‌ सम्प्रदापयेत्‌ । वाचकं भरतश्रेष्ठ भोजयित्वा स्वलंकृतम्‌

Transliteration

bhuktavatsu dvijendreṣu yathāvat sampradāpayet | vācakaṃ bharataśreṣṭha bhojayitvā svalakṛtam, bharatabhūṣaṇa |

Translation

Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Cuando los brāhmaṇas más eminentes hayan terminado su comida, deben otorgárseles dones apropiados conforme al debido rito. Luego, oh el mejor de los Bhāratas, tras honrar al recitador—adornado con vestiduras y ornamentos—debe alimentársele con manjares excelentes; y después conviene satisfacerlo con dádivas y honores respetuosos.»
