वाचको भरतमश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ताक्षरपदस्वर: | भविष्यं श्रावयेद् विद्वान् भारतं भरतर्षभ
vācako bharataśreṣṭha vyaktākṣarapadasvaraḥ | bhaviṣyaṃ śrāvayed vidvān bhārataṃ bharatarṣabha ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Oh el mejor de los Bhāratas, el recitador debe ser un hombre docto, que articule con claridad cada sílaba, cada palabra y cada acento. Así debe hacer que se escuche el Bhārata, oh toro entre los Bhāratas, y también recitar la sección Bhaviṣya (según la tradición del Harivaṃśa).»
