वस्त्र चैव विचित्र च गन्धं चैव विशेषत: । देववत् पूजयेत् तं तु विष्णुलोकमवाप्नुयात्
vastraṃ caiva vicitraṃ ca gandhaṃ caiva viśeṣataḥ | devavat pūjayet taṃ tu viṣṇulokam avāpnuyāt ||
Debe ofrecer vestidos finos y variados, y en especial sustancias fragantes, y adorar a ese recitador como se adoraría a una deidad. El oyente que así lo hace alcanza el mundo de Viṣṇu—mostrando que la reverencia hacia la enseñanza sagrada y hacia quien la transmite es, en sí misma, un dharma meritorio que conduce a un destino auspicioso.
