कटके कुण्डले चैव ब्रह्मुसूत्रं तथा परम्
kaṭake kuṇḍale caiva brahmasūtraṃ tathā param | kaḍe kuṇḍala yajñopavīta vicitra-vastraṃ viśeṣataḥ gandham arpitvā vācakasya devatā-samāṃ pūjāṃ kuryāt | evaṃ-kārī śrotā bhagavato viṣṇoḥ loke gacchati ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Ofreciendo brazaletes y pendientes, y también el cordón sagrado (yajñopavīta), junto con ornamentos, vestidos finos y variados, y en especial sustancias fragantes, debe honrarse al recitador como se adoraría a una deidad. El oyente que así actúa alcanza el mundo del Señor Viṣṇu».
