upasthite 'tiyaśasaś cākṣuṣasyāntare manoḥ samavāyīkṛtāḥ sarve samāgamya parasparam
When the exceedingly illustrious interval of Cākṣuṣa Manu arrived, all those beings—drawn together by the force of cosmic conjunction—assembled, converging upon one another in mutual gathering.
Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
Speaker: Parasara
Topic: How deities and offices reconstitute at the Cākṣuṣa-to-Vaivasvata transition
Teaching: Cosmological
Quality: authoritative
Creation Stage: Manvantara
Manvantara: Cakshusha (6th)
Concept: At the famed interlude of Manu, beings are drawn together by cosmic conjunction (samavāya) to assume roles in the next cycle.
Vedantic Theme: Dharma
Application: Recognize periods of transition as times to gather resources, counsel, and recommit to duty.
Vishishtadvaita: Orderly coordination of many agents implies a single sustaining governance that integrates plurality into one cosmic purpose.
This verse signals a Manvantara transition—an organizing principle in which cosmic governance (Manu’s era) changes, and beings realign according to the divine order that sustains the universe.
By describing them as “samavāyīkṛtāḥ” (made to cohere), Parāśara presents these gatherings as structured, not accidental—events compelled by the universe’s ordained rhythm as time turns from one Manu-period to another.
Though not named in this line, the Manvantara order belongs to Vishnu’s sustaining sovereignty: the regularity of Manu-cycles and their assemblies reflects the preservation (sthiti) governed by the Supreme Reality.
