अपत्यं कृत्तिकानां तु कार्त्तिकेय इति स्मृतः

apatyaṃ kṛttikānāṃ tu kārttikeya iti smṛtaḥ

He who is revered as the offspring of the Kṛttikās is therefore remembered by the name Kārttikeya.
