sunītir api te mātā tvadāsannātinirmalā vimāne tārakā bhūtvā tāvatkālaṃ nivatsyati
And Sunīti too—your mother—made utterly pure by her nearness to you, shall dwell for that same span of time in a celestial car, transformed into a shining star.
Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya, within the Dhruva episode)
Cosmic Hierarchy: Lokas (worlds)
Concept: Association with a pure devotee purifies and elevates even family members to luminous divine states.
Vedantic Theme: Dharma
Application: Seek satsanga and support the devotion of loved ones; let proximity to dharma reshape one’s character.
Vishishtadvaita: Grace flows through relational nearness within the Lord’s real cosmos—souls uplift one another under His dispensation.
Vishnu Form: Hari (name)
Bhakti Type: Vatsalya (parental)
This verse presents Sunīti’s elevation as a fruit of association with Dhruva’s devotion—her purity and status are expressed cosmologically as a stellar abode, reinforcing that devotion reshapes destiny across worlds.
Parāśara frames Sunīti’s transformation as arising from ‘being near’ Dhruva—implying that contact with unwavering bhakti sanctifies even family members, and that such sanctity is acknowledged in the ordered heavens.
The verse supports a Vaishnava vision of divine sovereignty: Vishnu’s grace, accessed through steadfast devotion, grants lasting cosmic stations—showing the Supreme Lord as the dispenser of order, reward, and spiritual elevation.
