किं त्वहं प्रणयाद्भ्रातर्वक्ष्यामि यद्वचः शृषु । प्रणयान्नान्यथा कार्यं यद्यहं तव संमतः
kiṃ tvahaṃ praṇayādbhrātarvakṣyāmi yadvacaḥ śṛṣu | praṇayānnānyathā kāryaṃ yadyahaṃ tava saṃmataḥ
But, brother, out of affection I will speak one request—listen to my words. Because of our bond, it should not be done otherwise, if I am acceptable to you.
Arbuda
Tirtha: Arbuda-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Arbuda, addressing ‘brother,’ asks to be heard: a tender, serious request framed by friendship; both figures pause in a sacred grove, signaling that procedure matters as much as power.
Even in sacred ventures, mutual consent, humility, and honoring relationships are integral to dharma.
The verse anticipates the naming and fame of the Arbuda region as part of its māhātmya.
None; it introduces a personal condition/request connected to the sacred outcome.
