देवा ऊचुः । मदनद्वं समर्थोसि अस्माञ्जेतुं सदैव हि । महेशं प्रति गच्छाशु सुरकार्यार्थसिद्धये । पार्वत्या सहितं शंभुं कुरुष्वाद्य महामते
devā ūcuḥ | madanadvaṃ samarthosi asmāñjetuṃ sadaiva hi | maheśaṃ prati gacchāśu surakāryārthasiddhaye | pārvatyā sahitaṃ śaṃbhuṃ kuruṣvādya mahāmate
The gods said: “O Madana, you are ever able to conquer even us. Go quickly to Maheśa to accomplish the gods’ purpose. O great-minded one, bring Śambhu—together with Pārvatī—under your influence today.”
