It declares Śiva as the single Supreme Lord from whom the five cosmic functions—creation, sustenance, dissolution, veiling, and liberating grace—arise, emphasizing that liberation ultimately comes by His anugraha (grace).
By identifying the Absolute Brahman as the Trident-bearing Lord, it bridges nirguṇa truth and saguna worship: devotees approach the formless Supreme through Śiva’s accessible forms such as the Liṅga, receiving purification and grace.
Contemplate Śiva as the source of the pañcakṛtya while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering water and bilva leaves to the Liṅga and praying specifically for anugraha (inner release from bondage).
