It teaches that worship (pūjā) should culminate in compassionate giving—feeding the learned and needy—so devotion becomes lived dharma that purifies the seeker and supports spiritual merit.
In the Shaiva framework, Saguna worship is not only ritual before the deity (including the Liṅga) but also service to Shiva’s devotees and custodians of Vedic-Shiva knowledge; feeding Brāhmaṇas is treated as an extension of the worship’s fruit.
A practical vow is indicated: perform worship (here beginning with Āditya-pūjā) and follow it with annadāna—feeding Brāhmaṇas—sustained for a chosen period (day/month/year/three years) as disciplined sādhana.
