“Therefore, O Lord, lead him to Your supreme, imperishable abode.” Having thus petitioned the Divine, he then proceeded, as a preliminary discipline, with the yogic inner joining of the nāḍīs (vital channels).
Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya discourse to the sages)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It frames liberation as entry into Shiva’s “supreme, imperishable abode,” attained by Shiva’s grace when the seeker’s inner discipline is aligned—showing Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on Pati (Shiva) as the giver of moksha.
The petition to “the Lord” reflects surrender to Saguna Shiva as the accessible divine giver of grace; Linga-worship, mantra, and devotion culminate in realizing Shiva’s transcendence and reaching His supreme dhāma.
It points to a yogic practice of nāḍī-saṁdhāna—harmonizing the subtle channels through disciplined breath/inner concentration—performed as a preparatory step, ideally supported by mantra-japa (e.g., Panchakshara) and Shaiva devotion.
