Maṇḍala–Pūjā–Homa Krama

Maṇḍala Worship and Homa Sequence for the Disciple

हुत्वाहुतित्रयं तस्मै प्रणम्य च विसृज्य ताम् । कुर्यान्निवृत्तः संधानं प्रतिष्ठां कलया सह

hutvāhutitrayaṃ tasmai praṇamya ca visṛjya tām | kuryānnivṛttaḥ saṃdhānaṃ pratiṣṭhāṃ kalayā saha

Having offered to Him the threefold oblation, and then bowing down, one should dismiss that invoked presence. Thereafter, withdrawing from external activity, one should perform the rite of re-integration (saṃdhāna) and the establishment (pratiṣṭhā), together with its prescribed kalā.

It teaches that worship is completed not only by offerings but by reverent closure—bowing, respectfully dismissing the invoked presence, and returning the mind inward, aligning outer rite with inner yogic restraint under Śiva’s lordship (Pati).

It reflects standard Śaiva pūjā structure: after offerings to Saguna Śiva (as worshipped in the Liṅga), the devotee performs dismissal (visarjana) and then “establishes” the worship internally—recognizing the Lord as present both in form and beyond form.

Perform the concluding offerings (three āhutis), prostration, visarjana, and then a brief nivṛtti—quiet withdrawal into dhyāna—followed by saṃdhāna/pratiṣṭhā, i.e., re-centering awareness on Śiva with the prescribed ritual kalā (supporting step).
