It highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta principle that Pati (Shiva) responds to sincere, love-filled devotion: the Goddess’ auspicious words elicit Shiva’s grace (“I am pleased”), and His disappearance points to the Lord’s freedom to reveal or withdraw His manifest presence while still bestowing inner blessing.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s personal responsiveness to bhakti—He hears, approves, and acts. In Linga-worship, devotees similarly offer prayer and praise, trusting that Shiva’s grace may be experienced as a tangible sign or as a subtle, inward transformation even when no outer vision remains.
Cultivate loving address to Shiva through mantra-japa and prayer—especially the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—and conclude worship with quiet inward attention, accepting that Shiva’s grace may come as inner clarity rather than continued outward appearance.
