वीरभद्रक्रोधशमनं देवस्तुतिश्च
Pacification of Vīrabhadra and the Gods’ Hymn
त्वयैव विततं सर्वं व्याप्तं सृष्टं न नाशितम् । न हि त्वदधिकाः केचिदीशास्ते ऽच्युतकादयः
tvayaiva vitataṃ sarvaṃ vyāptaṃ sṛṣṭaṃ na nāśitam | na hi tvadadhikāḥ kecidīśāste 'cyutakādayaḥ
By You alone is all this universe spread out, pervaded, and brought forth; apart from You it is not destroyed. Indeed, none are greater than You—even the ruling lords such as Acyuta and the rest.
A devotee/sage praising Lord Shiva (within Suta Goswami’s Vayu Samhita narration)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga passage; emphasizes vyāpti (pervasion) and manifestation dependent on Śiva—supporting Siddhānta’s doctrine of Śiva as the supreme Lord beyond Acyuta and other īśas.
Significance: Strengthens īśvara-bhakti and removes deva-bheda (competitive hierarchy) by rooting all powers in Śiva as Pati.
Mantra: tvayaiva vitataṃ sarvaṃ vyāptaṃ sṛṣṭaṃ na nāśitam | na hi tvadadhikāḥ kecidīśāste 'cyutakādayaḥ
Type: stotra
It proclaims Shiva as the supreme Pati: the universe is manifested and pervaded by Him, and no other lord surpasses Him—supporting the Shaiva view that liberation ultimately depends on Shiva’s grace.
The Linga symbolizes Shiva’s all-pervading, beginningless reality; worshiping the Saguna form (with name and attributes) leads the devotee to realize the same Shiva as the inner pervader of all creation.
Meditate on Shiva as the all-pervading Lord while repeating the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and offering Linga-puja with bhakti, cultivating surrender to Shiva as the highest refuge.
