वीरभद्रक्रोधशमनं देवस्तुतिश्च
Pacification of Vīrabhadra and the Gods’ Hymn
वायुरुवाच । इत्युक्तास्त्रिदशास्सर्वे शर्वेणामिततेजसा । सद्यो विगतसन्देहा ननृतुर्विबुधा मुदा
vāyuruvāca | ityuktāstridaśāssarve śarveṇāmitatejasā | sadyo vigatasandehā nanṛturvibudhā mudā
Vāyu said: Thus addressed by Śarva (Śiva), whose splendour is immeasurable, all the gods at once became free from doubt; and the divine ones danced with joy.
Vayu
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse highlights Shiva as Pati (the Lord) whose grace and instruction instantly remove saṃśaya (spiritual doubt), leading the soul toward clarity, devotion, and auspicious joy.
Śarva is addressed here as the radiant, approachable Lord who teaches and reassures the devas—reflecting Saguna Shiva, worshipped in forms such as the Linga, through whom devotees receive guidance and confidence in dharma.
The practical takeaway is śravaṇa and manana—listening to Shiva’s teachings and reflecting until doubt dissolves—supported by steady japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to stabilize devotion and inner certainty.
