दक्षस्य यज्ञप्रवृत्तिः तथा ईश्वरवर्जितदेवसमागमः
Dakṣa’s Sacrificial Undertaking and the Devas’ Assembly without Īśvara
सो ऽपि तेन बभौ भद्रः श्वेतचामरपाणिना । बालसोमेन सौम्येन यथा शूलवरायुधः
so 'pi tena babhau bhadraḥ śvetacāmarapāṇinā | bālasomena saumyena yathā śūlavarāyudhaḥ
Adorned by him, the auspicious Bhadra shone brilliantly—holding a white cāmara in his hand, gentle as the tender moon—like the Supreme Lord bearing the excellent weapon, the trident.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights Shiva’s auspicious, soothing presence—marked by the crescent moon and regal insignia—showing that meditating on his Saguna form steadies the mind and turns the devotee toward liberation under Pati (the Lord).
Though Linga worship points to the formless Absolute, this verse affirms the value of Saguna contemplation: Shiva’s recognizable emblems (moon, trident, attendant fan) become sacred supports (ālambana) for devotion and inner absorption.
Practice dhyāna on Shiva with the crescent moon and trident while repeating the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—using the calming (saumya) imagery to pacify the mind before japa or silent meditation.
