Then, by the auspicious Gaṇeśvaras—mighty, their valor equal to that of Bhadra—the entire world, along with the open spaces of the sky, became completely covered.

It portrays the irresistible reach of Śiva’s śakti as expressed through His gaṇas: when the Lord’s will moves, even the sky’s open expanse is “covered,” teaching the devotee humility and dependence on Pati (Śiva) beyond the limited power of the individual (paśu).
The gaṇas function as Saguna expressions of Śiva’s governance—His visible, ordered power in the cosmos. Linga-worship centers the mind on Śiva as the transcendent Pati, while acknowledging His immanent rule through such divine hosts.
A practical takeaway is to take refuge in japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") while visualizing Śiva’s protective presence pervading all directions; optionally accompany with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva marks of surrender.
