raṇannūpurakeyūramahākanakabhūṣitam | ratnasaṃcayasaṃdīptaṃ tārahārāvṛtorasam
Adorned with resounding anklets and armlets, embellished with great golden ornaments, radiant with heaps of gems, and with the chest covered by a necklace of star-like pearls—thus was that divine form seen.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
The verse supports saguna-upāsanā: contemplating Shiva’s auspicious, radiant form steadies the mind and ripens devotion, which in Shaiva Siddhanta becomes a means for grace (anugraha) leading toward liberation.
While Linga worship emphasizes Shiva beyond form, this description affirms that Shiva also compassionately appears with attributes for devotees; both approaches converge in devotion, purity, and the receiving of Shiva’s grace.
Use the verse for dhyāna (visual meditation) before pūjā: mentally behold Shiva’s radiant form while repeating the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to unify image, mantra, and devotion.
